How does Commentator AI work?
Pick a clip from your camera roll, choose a commentator, set the energy and caption style, then tap Make it. The AI watches the clip, writes the call, voices it, and mixes it back over your footage — usually in about a minute.
How long can my clip be?
Up to 90 seconds. Anything longer is automatically trimmed to the first 90 seconds before processing.
Which sports are supported?
Football, basketball, cricket, boxing, motorsport and most other sports. The commentators are tuned for sport, but they'll happily call anything with action in it.
Can I hear a commentator before I use it?
Yes. Tap play on any commentator in the Voices tab or during step two of a new commentary to hear a sample before you commit.
How do I build my own voice?
Go to the Voices tab and tap "Build your own voice." Describe the commentator you want — accent, age, energy, delivery — and we'll create the voice. It then appears under Your Voices for every future clip.
What do the energy settings do?
Chill keeps the call calm and measured, Balanced is proper broadcast energy, and Unhinged goes full buzzer-beater. It changes both the writing and the delivery.
What are burned-in captions?
Word-synced captions baked into the video so it reads perfectly on mute. Choose Blockbuster (big and bold), Broadcast (lower-third bar) or Minimal (quiet type).
Where do my finished clips live?
In the Clips tab. From there you can replay a clip, tap any line of the call to jump to that moment, share it, or save it to Photos.
My clip failed to render — what now?
Check your connection and try again from the Clips tab. If it keeps failing, email us with the sport, clip length and commentator you used and we'll look into it.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed and managed through your Apple ID (App Store) or Google account (Google Play). To cancel or switch between Starter and Pro, go to your device's subscription settings — we're unable to process billing changes from our end.
Is there a free trial?
No. Commentator AI does not currently offer a free trial. You're charged immediately when you subscribe to Starter ($4.99/week or $49.99/year) or Pro ($9.99/week or $99.99/year).
How do I delete my clips or account data?
You can delete individual clips and custom voices from inside the app. For full account and data deletion, email us using the contact details below.
